Overnights: Star Plus trounces rivals on Monday; PTC Punjabi surges

After its ratings blip on Sunday in UK, Star Plus came back fighting on Monday trouncing its rivals with three times the share again to its second placed rival, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The channel recorded a share of 0.31%, with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ attracting 157,900 viewers. The show has been on a high of late after high-octane drama, which saw the “death” of Ishita, only to discover that she was alive in last night’s episode. It was followed by ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 140,700 viewers, ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 118,700 viewers, ‘Dil Sambhal Ja Zara’ at 22:00 with 114,100 viewers and ‘Ikyawann’ at 20:30 with 101,200 viewers.

Hum TV stayed strong at No.2 with a share of 0.11%, with ‘Gumrah’ raking in 45,000 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Diyar-e-Dil’ at 21:00 with 37,500 viewers and ‘Thori Si Wafa’ repeat at 10:30 with 36,100 viewers.

PTC Punjabi impressed with a share of 0.05%, while Colors fell behind with a share of 0.04%. Its top rated show was ‘Tu Aashiqui’ with 21,500 viewers, followed by ‘Bigg Boss 11’ at 21:00 with 20,400 viewers and ‘Laddo’ and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ with 13,800 viewers each.

Geo TV also registered a share of 0.04% with ‘Khaani’ at 20:00 pulling in 15,300 viewers, followed by ‘Rani’ at 21:00 with 14,300 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television recorded a share of 0.03% with ‘Mere Sai’ staying top with 45,400 viewers.

ZEE TV remained low with just a share of 0.01%.
