The hunt on for Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’

Hrithik Roshan is all set to play mathematician Anand Kumar in his biopic, that will be directed by Vikas Bahl. Kumar is famous for his ‘Super 30’ program, where his students are trained for an entrance into the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Bahl and casting director Mukesh Chhabra are on the hunt for thirty actors that will play these super thirty students in the film.

As according to Mumbai Mirror, Chhabra said, “We want to cast kids in the age group of 15-17 and have auditioned over 15,000. The hunt started a few months ago after zeroing in on potential actors from Bihar, Varanasi, Bhopal, Mumbai, and Delhi. After a series of selections, we brought the number down to 400, then 200, 150 and now 78 kids, with whom we are conducting workshops for the final 30 that we hope to finalize in a month’s time.”

Bahl also says that there is so much undiscovered talent in India, saying, “The realization  encouraged us to do an even more extensive search in order to include those from varied background and towns. The pool of actors from which we are short-listing is the most appropriate for us as Anand ji’s students also come from diverse backgrounds.”

Meanwhile, Roshan was last seen in an cameo appearance in the Marathi film ‘Hrudayantar’ (2017).
