Overnights: Hum TV & Geo TV beat Indian TV channels (except Star Plus)

It was Pakistani TV channels that sprung a surprise in UK ratings on Thursday with Hum TV, Hum Masala and Geo TV emerging as the most watched entertainment channels beating all Indian television channels (except Star Plus).

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com , Star Plus was the biggest Asian TV broadcaster on Thursday with a share of 0.22%. Its top rated shows were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 128,200 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 88,700 viewers and ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 78,000 viewers. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalata Hai’ recovered lost ground with 72,700 viewers at 18:00.

Hum Masala was in second place with 0.13% share. Its top shows were ‘Handi’ at 21:00 with 27,800 viewers and ‘Tarka’ at 20:00 with 27,400 viewers.

Hum TV was in third with a share of 0.09%. Its top shows were ‘Daldal’ at 20:00 with 34,300 viewers, followed by ‘Diyar-e-Dil’ at 21:00 with 27,300 viewers and ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti Hoon’ at 22:00 with 24,300 viewers.

Geo TV put a strong performance on Thursday with a share of 0.06%. ‘Sawera’ at 19:30 led with 30,900 viewers, followed by ‘Ali Ki Ammi’ at 18:30 with 25,500 viewers and ‘Sawera’ repeat at 18:00 with 21,300 viewers.

Colors was just behind with a share of 0.06% after ‘Bigg Boss 11’ performed well again with 58,800 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 17,100 viewers and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 22:30 with 16,600 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television delivered a share of 0.04%, while ZEE TV slumped to 0% – Read a thorough report on ZEE TV here.
