Overnights: ‘TGILC’ slumps to shocking low on Saturday

Star Plus’ heavily publicised stand-up comedy series ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ proved a ratings disaster on Saturday in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The show, which has regularly been delivering ratings of around 40,000 viewers since its launch, slumped to just 7,000 viewers. Not only was it the lowest performing show on Star Plus UK during the 20:00 slot in many years, it also dragged down the channel’s overall share. Star Plus’ overall share stood at 0.12%, which was close to being beaten by B4U Movies. It garnered 0.09%.

Star Plus’ top show on Saturday was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ with 127,500 viewers.
