KJo: “Kajol will always remain more than special to me”

Last year one of the most iconic friendships in Bollywood ended. When news came out that Karan Johar and Kajol had fallen out, it’s not surprising that this came as a shock to many. But fast forward one year on and there’s a glimmer of hope that not all is lost.

Reported in the Hindustan Times, Johar who was at the launch party for his very own radio show ‘Calling Karan’ for Ishq 104.8FM, was asked about how it feels to be friends again with the ‘Dilwale’ (2016) actress. “This platform isn’t about my personal life. But Kajol is, has always been and will always remain more than special to me, for the time to come. Always.”

The pair had fallen out due to a clash between Johar and Ajay Devgn’s movies- ‘Ae Dil Hai Muskhil’ (2016) and ‘Shivaay’ (2016), which were releasing simultaneously. Johar revealed in his autobiography that Devgn had said some “nasty” things to him before the films released. It was at that point that Johar decided to cut all ties, but things are starting to look positive as they try and patch things up.
