Ranveer-Deepika & Shahid to promote ‘Padmavati’ together first time this week

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic ‘Padmavati’ is already generating much interest amonsgt fans worldwide. With just two weeks to go before the film hits cinemas, the stars of the film – Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor are set to up the marketing ante by promoting the film together this week for the first time in Gujarat.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, “The makers didn’t want the promotions to be overshadowed by the hard-liners’ hatred towards Khilji. So, it was decided that Ranveer would only promote the movie after it hits screens. But the marketing team has changed its decision now.”

Promotions commence on Saturday in Ahmadabad featuring all three stars. Another source added, “While Deepika was seen at the Padmavati 3D trailer launch as she was asked to go by Bhansali himself to attend, Shahid and Ranveer will come together on the weekend to share a common platform for an event, to promote the film. It is again a call taken by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his creative team. The filmmaker is very clear what he wants and there’s apparently a marketing strategy. Right now three of them have been seen creating some buzz through their individual promotions but now that their dates have been sorted, the entire cast will be seen on stage together at Ahmedabad.”
