‘Padmavati’ yet to be cleared by the CBFC?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ is less than a month away from release but news has it that the film hasn’t yet been sent to the CBFC for certification.

Hindustan Times reports that the guidelines state that a copy of the film should be with the CBFC at least 68 days before release but this hasn’t yet happened in the case of ‘Padmavati’ which is embroiled in controversy due to its Rajput connection.

The CBFC will now need to bend the rules slightly and hurry the process to ensure the film can release as planned for 1st December.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor and will be releasing in 3D.
