Overnights: Star Plus continues to widen gap over rivals in UK

Star Plus continued to extend lead over its rivals on Friday, with its share touching 0.35%, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus, which has been facing competition from the increasing number of channels in the UK market, has managed to hold on tightly at No.1. The channel was by far the most watched Asian TV channel on Friday. Its top shows included ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 116,100 viewers, followed by ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 111,700 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 109,800 viewers. Other shows also did well, which included ‘Chandra Nandini’ at 20:30 with 95,400 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 86,500 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Oh Rungreza’ at 20:00 attracted 19,800 viewers, followed by ‘Neelum Kinaray’ at 21:00 with 11,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 11’ pulled in 25,400 viewers, followed by ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 22,400 viewers and ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 12,800 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ at 22:00 drew 17,300 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Sawera’ at 19:30 attracted 8,600 viewers, followed by ‘Aap Ki Kaneez’ at 18:30 with 6,200 viewers.
