ARY channels get closer to returning to UK on Sky

ARY Network has got a step closer to re-launch its channels, including ARY Digital.

Ofcom approved the licences of three channels, which will launch without the ‘ARY’ brand. The three service names – Pak247, QTV Religious and Zindagi have finally been cleared to launch in the UK. However, similar to flagship news channel, ARY News – they will not be launched under the ARY name. In March, ARY News returned as New Vision TV broadcasting ARY World content.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that the network will re-launch ARY Digital as Zindagi (tentative name), while QTV Religious will broadcast ARY QTV and Pak247 is rumoured to be a music channel.

Luckily for viewers, the launch of Zindagi is just around the corner as it already has an EPG channel secured. Shortly after the launch of New Vision TV earlier this year, the broadcaster acquired a second EPG number and has been broadcasting a timeshift version of New Vision TV. The place was actually secured ready for ARY Digital. Due to Ofcom licencing delays of around six months, New Vision TV+1 has been used as a placeholder.
