Overnights: ZEE Cinema overtakes Star Plus to clinch No.1 spot on Sunday

With a bumper movie line-up of premieres on Sunday, ZEE Cinema clinched the No.1 spot for the first time, pushing market leader, Star Plus to No.2 according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

‘Mom’ starring Sridevi was watched by 27,300 viewers at 14:30, followed by ‘Munna Michael’ at 18:00 with 7,200 viewers and ‘Dashavtar’ at 21:30 with 2,300 viewers. ZEE Cinema had a share of 0.088%.

Star Plus was just behind with a share of 0.085%. Its top rated show was ‘Dance Champions’ at 21:00 with 38,900 viewers, followed by ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ at 20:00 with 18,000 viewers and ‘Tubelight’ movie at 17:00 with 13,900 viewers.

Rishtey Cineplex did well with ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ scoring high. The Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer was most watched Bollywood movie on Sunday with 49,000 viewers at 19:00.

Sony Entertainment Television also had a good Sunday with a share of 0.062%. Its most watched show was ‘Super Dancer’ repeat at 18:00 with 32,800 viewers, followed by ‘CID’ at 19:00 with 20,500 viewers and ‘Super Dancer’ at 20:00 with 11,600 viewers.

Sony MAX also did well with ‘Sultan’ doing very well for the channel. It raked in 23,000 viewers at 20:00.

On PTC Punjabi, the premiere of ‘Love Punjab’ did incredibly well with 17,500 viewers at 12:30, with a further 20,400 viewers for its repeat at 19:30. The film peaked to over 70,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 11’ at 21:00 could only manage to attract 22,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, the biggest show on the channel was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ at 20:30 with 1,900 viewers, followed by ‘Maha Sangam Special’ at 19:30 with 1,800 viewers.

On &TV, ‘& Its Diwali’ was watched by 11,000 viewers at 17:30, followed by ‘Dear Zindagi’ at 14:30 with 3,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Tumhari Maryum’ at 21:00 delivered 20,700 viewers, followed by ‘Tanhaai’ at 21:00 with 18,700 viewers and ‘Sho Bhatti’ at 19:00 with 14,300 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Geo Khelo Pakistan’ at 19:30 pulled in 1,200 viewers.
