Mohit Madaan is all set to be seen in ‘Aksar 2’ after his debut film ‘Love Exchange’ (2015) which didn’t quite strike the right chord with the audiences. Madaan still waited for another project to come his way and his character in ‘Aksar 2’ is said to be impressionable.

BizAsiaLive.com caught up with the actor ahead of the film’s release.

What made you sign ‘Aksar 2’?
Aksar 2 has a very strong and compact script. It also has a renowned team with a succesful director and producer. My character, Bachchan Singh, in the film was challenging and i wanted to perform it.

Is there anything particularly memorable you will take away from the shoot?
A lot of laughs during the shoot. Especially during a scene where a tray in Zareen Khan’s hand lands up in my head (by mistake of course).

How would you describe Ananth Mahadevan’s sentiments for the film?
He is a master of his trade. He gets involved with his heart whether he is directing or acting.

Did you feel pressurised to live upto the first film, ‘Aksar’?
Aksar 2 has a fresh script. There will always be comparisons to a previous film. All of us worked hard towards our film without letting the expectations of the previous film affect us.

What do you think audiences will like about your character?
Bachchan Singh is a mystery. Audiences should hopefully connect to him and relate to him with some event in their lives.

Why was there such a huge gap after ‘Love Exchange’?
After Love Exchange I have completed Aksar 2 and another film. I have been shooting for more than one film in that time period. There are other projects in the pipeline too. There’s a lot of time involved in making a film from the beginning till its release. Often (Aksar ?) People don’t understand that film-making is a lengthy process.

Do you have a dream role after ‘Aksar 2’?
I don’t have any specific dream role at the moment. Every character i perform feels like a dream. Having said that, I would love to work in different genres and be remembered by the audience for my performances.

How hopeful are you of striking the right chord with ‘Aksar 2’?
It’s best to not have high hopes regarding anything in life. You put in your best efforts, and let your work speak. For a film, let the audience tell you they like your character.

The film is slated for release later this month also starring Gautam Rode, Abhinav Shukla and Zareen Khan.
