Shahid Kapoor gets language coach for ‘Padmavati’

BizAsiaLive.com reported recently that Shahid Kapoor was learning various forms of sword-fighting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. Now it’s emerged that he also had a language coach.

Bombay Times reports that the actor wanted to perfect his accent and diction for his role in the film. A source told the publication, “Shahid’s preparations for the film included training under a language coach, as certain dialogues in the film were extremely typical of the period that the film is set in. Now, his coach will also be with him while he’s dubbing for the film so that his accent and words sound authentic”.

Kapoor became someone who looked at every detail when he was preparing for the role, “He doesn’t want to leave anything to chance. So although he was well-versed with the language after shooting for the film, he still decided to take his trainer along to make sure that the dubbing goes flawlessly. The makers are happy that Shahid is taking such a keen interest in his performance, as it will only add to the film’s quality”.

The film, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, will release on 17th November.
