Star Bharat – Weekday schedule confirmed
With the launch of India’s new Hindi entertainment channel, Star Bharat, just a few days away, BizAsiaLive.com can reveal the entire weeknight primetime schedule.
Starting from Monday 28th August at 18:00, Star Bharat will reinvent primetime viewing with a slew of innovative fiction and non-fiction shows.
18:00 Om Shanti Om – Launch episode

21:30 Ayushman Bhava
BizAsiaLive.com can confirm that ‘Om Shanti Om’ will air for two-hours on the launch day of Star Bharat. It will feature performances by Ranveer Singh, Badshah, Sukhwindder Singh. Judging panel consists of Shekhar Ravjiani, Sonakshi Sinha and Kanika Kapoor. After the initial launch episode, ‘Om Shanti Om’ will take the weekend 21:00 – 22:00 slot.
‘Om Shanti Om’, is a musical stage of rare blend of tradition and trends, where contestants will re-invent known devotional songs that appeal to modern India. Each episode of the show will have contestants singing a familiar devotional song in a re-arranged form which will test their versatility. This will be first time that TV shall witness a genre not just being re-kindled but re-invented.
The show that boasts of many firsts on Indian Television will also see the debut of the epitome of devotion PP Swami Ramdev Ji as ‘Maha Guru’ on television. Produced by Colosseum, the show will present 14 participants who will lend their voices to the all re-arranged devotional music composed by Bollywood famous music composer Aditya Pushkarna.
