UK TV Reach: &TV tumbles; ZEE TV leaps ahead

ZEE Network’s &TV fell victim to the recent Sky changes with one of its lowest ever weekly reach numbers, while sister channel, ZEE TV increased its audience.

According to official BARB data for week ending Sunday 13th August, Star Plus remained the UK’s most watched Asian TV channel with 622,000 viewers (last week 752,000 viewers), followed by Star Gold with 392,000 viewers, Sony MAX with 361,000 viewers (last week 345,000 viewers), Rishtey Cineplex with 359,000 viewers, Rishtey with 330,000 viewers, Hum TV with 317,000 viewers and Colors with 307,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of Zing with 297,000 viewers, ZEE Cinema with 296,000 viewers (last week 152,000 viewers), ZEE TV with 252,000 viewers (last week 191,000 viewers), B4U Movies with 240,000 viewers, Sony Entertainment Television with 225,000 viewers (last week 213,000 viewers), Sony SAB TV with 211,000 viewers and Life OK with 202,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of B4U Music with 198,000 viewers, Geo TV with 188,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 165,000 viewers, Prime TV with 134,000 viewers, &TV with 131,000 viewers (last week 286,000 viewers), Brit Asia TV with 126,000 viewers, Venus TV with 124,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 117,000 viewers, PTV Global with 108,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 92,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 83,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 79,000 viewers, MTV Beats with 50,000 viewers, A Plus Europe with 40,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 37,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 26,000 viewers and ZEE Punjabi with 15,000 viewers.

Geo News remained the UK’s most watched South Asian news channel with a reach of 255,000 viewers, followed by New Vision TV with 241,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 218,000 viewers, ABP News with 163,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 151,000 viewers, Dunya News with 142,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 98,000 viewers, UK 44 with 86,000 viewers, Times Now with 26,000 viewers and News18 with 26,000 viewers.
