Overnights: Hum TV takes lead over Star Plus in UK on Sunday

Most of the Asian TV channels struggled to perform to their usual standard on Sunday, with Hum TV moving ahead of market leader, Star Plus, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Hum TV’s all-day share stood at 0.10%, while Star Plus fell behind with 0.06%. Over the last few weeks, Star Plus’ Sunday UK ratings have been witnessing a hammering due to increased competition. However, Star Plus and Hum TV were neck-and-neck in last night’s primetime ratings with a share of 0.10% each between 19:00 – 23:00.

Hum TV’s most popular show last night was ‘Tanhaai’ at 21:00 with 44,900 viewers – peaking at 74,300 viewers, followed by ‘To Dil Ka Kia Hua’ at 20:00 with 26,100 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Dance+ 3’ at 20:00 fetched 22,000 viewers – peaking at 44,500 viewers, followed by ‘Naamkarann – Maha Episode’ at 19:00 with 21,100 viewers and ‘Aarambh’ at 21:30 with 12,000 viewers.

On Colors, IIFA Rocks repeat at 23:00 was watched by 4,400 viewers, followed by the original telecast at 17:00 with 1,900 viewers and ‘Dev’ at 22:00 with 1,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ at 21:00 pulled in 5,500 viewers, followed by ‘Raees’ at 12:30 with 2,600 viewers.

On Sony Entertainment Television, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:00 pulled in 8,500 viewers, followed by the repeat at 17:30 with 4,200 viewers and ‘CID’ at 19:00 with 3,500 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Mohra’ pulled in 2,100 viewers at midday.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ at 18:03 pulled in 2,400 viewers, followed by ‘Sony Guild Film Awards’ at 22:00 with 1,000 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ crashed to just 12,000 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 7,100 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Geo Khelo Pakistan’ at 19:30 raked in 19,400 viewers – peaking at 40,700 viewers.
