‘Baaghi’ & ‘Jackson Heights’ to air on Urdu1 Europe

Urdu1 has confirmed the launch of two of its upcoming shows ‘Baaghi’ and ‘Jackson Heights’ for its UK/Europe viewers.

‘Baaghi’ has been one of Pakistan’s much talked about new TV shows, which is based on the life of the late media personality Qandeel Baloch. She was killed by her brother Waseem Azeem in an honour killing. The show is about a small town girl, who is held back by her family from attaining education and being mistreated by her husband. Whenever she chooses a right path she is deviated to a wrong path. Left with no other option she set out to create a name for herself on social media. Misguided by people, she ends up putting controversial videos on social media to gain attention.

‘Baaghi’ launches on Thursday 31st August at 20:00.

‘Jackson Heights’ is the second show to launch, which will take the Sunday night slot. It is a light-hearted show that follows the lives of overseas Pakistanis living in the ‘Jackson Heights’ neighborhood of New York City in Queens. The show launches on Sunday 27th August at 20:00.
