Eros in talks with Apple to sells it library for $1.5bn

Indian movie production and distribution giant, Eros Group is reportedly in talks with Apple and other content distributors to sell its entire libary of films and music.

Economic Times reports that the talks are at a preliminary stage. Amazon and Netflix are other parties that are said to be in talks. The deal could be worth around $1 billion, which would include Eros Group’s library of 3000+ Indian films (including regional).

The report adds that the deal could include Eros Group’s digital platform, Eros Now.

JM Financial is said to be advising Eros Group on the deal.

None of the parties involved commented on the story.
