Salman to appear in court next in October over Arms Act case

Salman Khan appeared at a Jodhupur court today over the ongoing Arms Act case, in which he was acquitted in January.

Times Of India reports that Khan was scheduled to deposit a baild bond of Rs. 20,000 today. His next court hearing has been scheduled for 5th October. The report adds that the prosecution, who had appealed against the acquittal decision, they are likely to be heard on this date.

Khan’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat was cited in the publication saying, “There will be no questions and answers only bail bond has to be submitted. Court had asked us to deposit bond of Rs. 20,000, which we will deposit today. It is not essential for the accused to be present.”

The case goes back to 1998 during the shoot of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, where Khan was charged for possession of an unlicensed rifle and a revolver and for using them to poach to black bucks.
