Overnights: ‘Tu Sooraj…’ starts well in 19:00 slot in UK

Star Plus’ decision to axe ‘Saathiya’ and bring afternoon show ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ in the 19:00 slot has proved successful if first day ratings are anything to go by, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Ratings for Monday 24th July saw ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ deliver 70,400 viewers – similar to what ‘Saathiya’ was attracting before it ended over the weekend. ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ was behind leading shows ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 89,600 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 87,900 viewers. ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ continued to disappoint with 43,700 viewers at 20:00. Earlier in the day, ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’, which took the 13:00 slot from ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ raked in 29,600 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 16,000 viewers,

On Colors, ‘Swabhimaan’ topped ratings with 18,400 viewers, followed by ‘Udann’ at 20:30 with 13,000 viewers and ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 11,100 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ in its new time slot of 20:00 did well with 21,700 viewers, followed by ‘Main Teri Parchai Hoon’ at 22:30 with 18,500 viewers and ‘Rangrasiya’ at 21:30 with 15,500 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 delivered 25,100 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ at 20:00 with 15,600 viewers and ‘Badho Bahu’ at 21:00 with 4,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mohabbat Khwab Safar’ at 22:00 pulled in 50,100 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Raha Dil’ at 20:00 with 21,400 viewers and ‘Mohabbat Mushkil Hai’ at 19:00 with 14,900 viewers and ‘Sangsaar’ at 19:30 with 14,600 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Bholi Bano’ at 21:00 attracted 3,800 viewers, followed by ‘Khaali Haath’ at 20:00 with 1,400 viewers.
