Akshay Kumar apologises for India flag controversy

Akshay Kumar was the victim of trolls online yesterday when a picture of him emerged holding the Indian flag the wrong side up.

It was during the Women’s Cricket World Cup final at The Lord’s Stadium, London that the incident occurred.

He took to Twitter to apologise, “Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolor. Didn’t mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed.”

Kumar is currently in the midst of promotions for ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, out in August.
