Tiger Shroff still defending ‘padding’ comment

Tiger Shroff had managed to stay away from controversy until he made a comment about padding within the industry, whilst talking about his co-stars for ‘Student of the Year 2’. However, the actor has come out again to defend his statement explaining how it had been taken out of context.

“I don’t understand why people these days overreact unnecessarily on everything that an actor says. I used ‘padding’ so casually and got badly scr**ed. It’s so funny how using one wrong word can screw up your career,” Hindustan Times reports Shroff stating.

He went on to add, “I mean, come on! I am not a sexist or a racist or anything like that. I don’t get under people’s skin or pick up unnecessary fights. Everyone knows the kind of person I am.”

Explaining again, Shroff spoke of how his statement wasn’t derived towards degrading his female co-stars, “I know the question was asked in context of my co-stars but my answer was taken in a different context.”

“I just want to prove that journalist wrong. If you ask me, I might be a padding for the girls and I might help them and they might help me. I never meant that they’re mere props on set,” Shroff went to say.

Despite his unfortunate incident, Shroff is doing rather well when it comes to his career, where he’s gearing up for his upcoming venture ‘Munna Michael’. Also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film is set to hit the big screen on 21st July.
