UK 44 removed from Sky EPG after fault

British Urdu news channel, UK 44 has abruptly been taken off the Sky EPG today.

The channel, which launched on EPG 854 in September last year has proved a success in UK ratings, hence the sudden exit comes as a surprise. Furthermore, the timing couldn’t be worse – ahead of the start of Ramadan, which gets underway this weekend.

Sky only remove channels from the EPG line-up based on two reasons: 1. Technical fault with the channel 2. Payment issue with broadcaster. BizAsiaLive.com understands that the problem is down to EPG scheduling and that the channel will return anytime up to three days.
