Aamir Khan’s letter to ‘Dangal’ co-star Sanya Malhotra

Aamir Khan’s latest film ‘Dangal’ (2016) did very well on the big screen. The actor is known to appreciate the work of his co-stars and so it should come as no surprise that the actor wrote a letter of praise to his on-screen daughter in the film, played by Sanya Malhotra.

As reported by Hindustan Times, the actress said, “I feel I’m blessed because I worked really hard. Luck toh nahi hai, kaafi mehnat kari hai iske liye. I’m blessed for the kind of people I got to work with in my first film”. There have been recent reports that she was not happy with her performance and she replied, “I’m never happy with my performance. Even for the ballet dance video that I posted on my Instagram, I asked some hundred people before posting it, whether I should do it or not. I didn’t like the choreography that I did. So yes, I’m never content, which I feel is good for me.”

She continued to say, “Aamir sent me a letter of two pages that why I am such an important part of the film. It was so sweet of him to do that. I shouldn’t be happy because jis din khush ho gai, I will pack my bags and go back to Delhi and do something else. If you feel satisfied, growth ruk jaati hai… He wrote a two-page letter to me, appreciating my presence in the film.”

The actress also acknowledged that after her roles, there are doors opening for her, “Dangal was the best film to get at the beginning of my career. Honestly, I didn’t expect the film to get this kind of reaction. I thought I will have to start from zero again, but I’m happy to see the adulation that the film has received.”
