Times Now launches Hindi news show

India’s leading English news channel, Times Now has launched its first ever Hindi bulletin, which will air every weekday morning.

‘The Morning Newshour’ will be the channel’s flagship breakfast bulletin at 20:30. It has been described as the first Hindi debate on the channel, hosted by Anand Narsimhan. His debut Hindi show started earlier this week with, “Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen we promised you the next level from May 8 and (turns to Hindi) we are fulfilling our promise. Hence, we are presenting the first Hindi debate to you in the Morning Newshour.”

Incidentally, the changes coincide with the launch of Arnab Goswami’s channel, Republic TV, which launched in India last week.

Times Now is getting aggressive with its new programme policy and features. It has branded the latest batch of changes: ‘Times Now – Next Level’ – How much these changes resonate with viewers, will be closely watched.
