92 News found in breach of Ofcom rules for non-payment of licence fee

Galaxy Broadcasting Network Limited, the UK licensee of 92 News, has been found in violation of Ofcom regulations due to non-payment of its licence fee.

92 News was among four licensees who failed to pay their annual TV licence fee. As a result, they have been found in breach of Conditions 4(1) and 4(2) of their licence.

The initial assessment by the decision-maker is that these breaches are significant and will therefore be considered for the imposition of a statutory sanction. The sanctions decision-maker will reassess this matter during the sanctioning process.
